Santhigiri Vidyabhavan was started in 1978 as a holistic educational institution set in the spiritually effusive ambience of Santhigiri Ashram, a secular spiritual institution founded by Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru.
Affiliated to CBSE, the school follows an approach aimed at ensuring the spiritual, emotional and physical development of a student as well as nurturing his scholastic and creative skills. We strive to adopt an education system where traditional values and modern methods of education are carefully blended.
The school is well equipped with all modern amenities including smart classrooms, a full-fledged library and science labs. True to the ashram's principle of serving food to the hungry, the school provides free lunch to students upto class 3. We promote innovative teaching experiments like 'Aksharathanal', a class-under-the-tree initiative which liberates tutoring from the confines of the classroom. Students are also required to take part in activities designed to impart social responsibility and environmental awareness.
For proper physical development of kids, sports and games are given equal prominence through specialized training in games like kho-kho, football and volleyball. Yoga, Wushu and Kungfu classes, handled by experts, are available for interested students during after-school hours.
